Hi there. I hope everyone had a good Holiday? I got some pretty good stuff. Not exactly what I wanted, but hey. I got my fave Holiday candy though. Yum..Think I'll have one when I get home from the library. I got Cordial Cherries Milk Chocolates.

I got my haircut yesterday. I took my cd in of An Cafe, coz, I like Takuya's hair cut. I told my hairdresser, I want it like that, just a little shorter. Let me just say it looks more like Adam Lambert's hair style, but it's what I wanted, so I'm happy with it. No more headaches for me now. YAY!!!

I also went to the used bookstore Saturday as well. I got my sister 2 used books and then I got myself 3 volumes of Samurai Deeper Kyo. Awesome. I totally love Sasuke. He's my fave character. Cool.

Okay, just wanted to do a little update. When I get home I'm gonna do some writing. I've been writing fanfics and original stuff. I'm helping arizonaicerose with a plot for an original story. Which YAY I'm glad she asked me to help. My Uke-chan knows just how good I am at it.

Upon first hearing this song I fell in love with it and immediately decided I would translate it. I'm not sorry because now it got more depth and made me fall in love with it even more. I used to laugh at a friend of mine for wanting to find a perfect song for winter/Christmas but not anymore. 『ジオラマ』 is a wonderful song for the holidays and I've been listening to it on repeat since the 25th. XD

Now, hoping that there are any Romanian people other than me on eLJay who are Mucc fans, I bring you the Romanian translation of the 『ジオラマ』 lyrics. It's my first time translating a song and I've been studying Japanese for only a year and a half so there might be some mistakes, in which case I would appreciate it if you would point them out. I don't like walking on eggshells.

For anyone.

And apparently, a certain person this year that has swung in for a visit is incredibly, incredibly touchy this year. She wasn't last year, or the year before that, or the year before that.

But this year, every last thing I say seems to be wrong. Offensive. She's stormed out of the room twice in two days, and I swear - NOTHING I say seems to be right.

So we just had a huge-ass fight. I admit, I said a few things I probably shouldn't have, but damnit, I was frustrated as all hell.

For example - there's a woman my dad and I used to work with. Dad said that he *thought* he remembered her. So I said - because it's the easiest way for people to remember this woman by - she started off as big or bigger than I am, and in a couple of months she was smaller than (insert person who I will not name here). This is a weight difference of about 80 lbs. It's a huge weight difference. I brought it up to emphasize how much weight this woman lost, not to refer to how tiny this girl was, or how big I was. It was just a way to describe this other woman.

The girl got PISSED at me. Not the woman I was describing - no. She wasn't even there. No, it was the girl who was 80 lbs lighter than me.

I refuse to apologize for it, too.

I'm sorry if other people get offended easily, but I will not watch my tongue if what I'm saying is an accurate description. It's like someone saying that I can't call a tree 'bigger' than another tree.

Okay, so I can see how it'd be offensive if you said the word 'fat', especially to someone's face. And I do understand that this girl is annoyed with her coworkers, who constantly are trying to shove food down this girl's throat because she IS pretty slender.

But the conversation wasn't even about her. I only mentioned her to emphasize how much weight this OTHER woman lost, so my father would know which coworker I was referring to - believe me, the entire office of over 1,000 people could easily tell you which coworker I'm referring to by using that particular description.

UGH.

I'm sick of it.

I HATE walking on eggshells.

And believe me when I say this is NOT the first time during this 4 day visit that this girl has blown up at me for something I said.

And no, she was NOT like this last year, or the year before... or for 10 years prior to now.

Just this year.

I don't know. Maybe I -am- in the wrong. But I can't fathom having to watch what I say THAT effing closely. I don't like having to constantly be on edge, worrying if every last thing I say is going to offend someone. What I say is not meant to be offensive - usually - and if it is, you'll KNOW it. I'll take no prisoners if I intend for something to be offensive.

If you have taken what I say as an offense to you, then that is YOUR problem, not mine. If you're a friend enough to me that I spend more than a day in your presence a year, willingly (as in, I'm not forced to do so, like I am at work), then you probably know damned well that I don't mean anything as an offense to anyone else (again... usually. There are exceptions, and you'll KNOW it when you hear it).

I refuse to walk on eggshells. I refuse to apologize for your misinterpretation of what I've said.

And like I told the girl who got offended? It isn't always about YOU, anyway. (and yeah, that's where I think I went too far. But again, not taking it back. Because it's true. it's hurtful, but it's true.)

Anyway, I'm prepping for a long drive now, so... take care everyone. I hope you all had a happy holidays/merry Christmas/etc, etc, etc. Thanks for letting me vent.

So today we have made 2 types of fudge (dark chocolate almond & peanut butter), banana cookies, oatmeal scotchies, candy cane cookies, apricot & date energy bars,  cinnamon nut balls, double chocolate sugar free truffles,  and chocolate ganache for the truffles, and baklava!  Ok the hubby did it, but hey we worked together.

I am worn.  I am going to wrap presents for a bit before I collapse.
